"Back to basics in asthma and COPD: optimizing the patient journey" symposium

Orion Pharma and Menarini organized a mini-symposium at the ERS International Congress 2018 in Paris, France. Drawing on the experience of experts from across Europe, this mini-symposium provided information and practical guidance on how to address some of the most common challenges in asthma and COPD management by going BACK TO BASICS.

Our expert panel explored four key topics:

• Key achievements from the Finnish asthma and COPD programmes, and practical suggestions on how you can apply them to your own clinical practice
• The role of high resistance in dry powder inhalers and how it affects dose emission and lung deposition
• Recent real-world data relating to dry powder inhalers, including data on patients switching between devices
• How you can help patients to achieve optimal outcomes by improving their guided self management
